Slightly understated, seriously interesting and always one of a kind. We have been hand crafting Mokume gane jewellery since 2001 using the traditional method that dates back to its origin in 17th century Japan. The process involves stacking and fusing a range of precious metals in an atmosphereically controlled kiln at a molecular level without the use of solder, this means no flaking, pitting or bubbles between the layers. The resulting billet of metal, once fused is then patterned by forging, twisting, carving, and hammering to achieve a pattern that is impossible to repeat and where the join is almost impossible to detect. We have a huge range of metal combinations, and patterns on offer and all are handcrafted using our responsibly sourced South Island gold.  We are very proud to say that they are world class, and can be shipped globally.
